Using Knowledge Technologies To Innovate

Globalization

In general, the term “globalization” describes the phenomenon that transforms local markets, policies and systems into international markets, policies and systems.

In business, the need for globalization becomes apparent when a company wants to penetrate a foreign market. To do this, the companies first develop new products or services or adapt existing products and services to their new customers. They then need to adapt these products and services to the cultural and linguistic differences of their customers.

So, in information and communications technology, globalization refers to two processes. The first is the internationalization and the second is the localization of software and Internet applications.
